Connor Brown Doubtful for Game 1 of the Western Conference Final

Edmonton Oilers forward Connor Brown is questionable for Game 1 of the Western Conference Final against the Dallas Stars. This was announced by head coach Kris Knoblauch.

Brown, who is recovering from an undisclosed injury, did not participate in Wednesday’s morning practice.

In the event Brown is unable to play, Viktor Arvidsson would likely take his place in the lineup for the start of the best-of-seven series.

Brown recorded four shots on goal in 16:52 minutes of ice time during the Oilers’ 1-0 overtime win against the Vegas Golden Knights last Wednesday.

The victory in Game 5 secured the series for Edmonton, who will face Dallas in the Western Conference final for the second year in a row.

Brown, 31, has seven points (four goals, three assists) in 11 playoff games. During the regular season, he had 30 points (13 goals, 17 assists) and a +9 rating, playing in all 82 games.
