Blackhawks Secure Anton Frondell with Entry-Level Contract
CHICAGO – The Chicago Blackhawks have agreed to an entry-level contract for three years with Anton Frondell, the third overall pick in last month’s draft.
The contract of the 18-year-old Swedish forward has a salary cap hit of $975,000.
Frondell scored 11 goals and added 14 assists last season in 29 regular season games for Djurgarden, a team that played in the second division of Sweden. His performance was key for the team to achieve promotion to the first division this year.
Furthermore, Frondell contributed to Sweden’s silver medal at the 2025 IIHF World U18 Championship. In three games, he scored one goal and provided two assists.
