Frank Nazar Secures His Future with the Blackhawks

The Chicago Blackhawks have reached an agreement with forward Frank Nazar for a seven-year contract extension worth $46.13 million. The team announced the agreement on Thursday. Nazar will have a $6.59 million impact on the salary cap, starting in the 2026-27 NHL season through 2033. Nazar, aged 20 and 21, accumulated 26 points in 53 games last season. In addition, he contributed to the United States winning the world hockey championship for the first time since 1933 and was invited to the Olympic orientation camp, as a candidate to play in Milan.

Frank elevated his game last season and has proven to be one of the most outstanding young talents in the league. He drives the game using his speed and playmaking skills, creating problems for opponents and opportunities for his teammates every night. Frank is an integral part of our team, and we are delighted to have him with us for the next eight seasons.

Kyle Davidson, General Manager
Nazar is expected to be part of Chicago’s long-term future, along with Connor Bedard, the No. 1 pick of 2023, and young defenseman Artyom Levshunov.
