In a historic night for the St. Louis Blues, goaltender Jordan Binnington set a new franchise record, and plans to celebrate this achievement with a touch of fun. In his 348th game with the team, Binnington surpassed Mike Liut, becoming the goaltender with the most games played in franchise history. The match, which culminated in a 3-2 victory over the Calgary Flames, marked a significant milestone in the goaltender’s career. Liut himself, who was Binnington’s agent, was surpassed by his representative. Binnington revealed his intention to send a message to Liut to celebrate the moment.

Maybe I’ll send him a message tonight, just for fun. It’s great how this is working out. He’s a great legend here and he’s in the Blues Hall of Fame.

Binnington, who was key in obtaining the Stanley Cup championship in 2019, made 38 saves in the victory against the Flames. This was his fourth win in 12 games played this season. The result contrasted with his previous performance, where he was substituted after conceding four goals in the defeat against Washington. Despite this, Binnington remained optimistic and focused on enjoying the game.

I’m having fun. You have to play for the love of the game and why you started. I enjoy these moments, trying to close out a game here at home. I felt the crowd. It’s good to enjoy these moments.

As a goalie, sometimes you like that. You stay in the game. Giving up two goals at the end of the second period wasn’t what we were looking for.
