Stanley Cup 2026 Betting: Who are the Favorites?

The odds for the 2026 Stanley Cup are already available, and the market shows divided opinions on who should be the main favorite for next season. Following the Florida Panthers’ victory over the Edmonton Oilers in Game 6, securing their second consecutive championship, betting houses disagree on who leads the betting odds. The current champions, the Panthers, along with the Oilers, the Carolina Hurricanes, and the Colorado Avalanche, are shaping up as the main contenders for next season. On Tuesday, ESPN BET placed the Panthers, Oilers, and Avalanche as co-favorites, with odds of +700. Colorado, which last week led with +650, saw its odds adjusted to match Florida and Edmonton.

There are more questions surrounding the Panthers and Oilers than the Avalanche, who will keep most of their roster and benefit from a longer preseason.

Horton also highlighted the doubts about the Panthers’ roster after free agency and the impact that losing two consecutive Stanley Cup Finals could have on the Oilers. The Hurricanes (+800) and the Dallas Stars (+900) complete the group of teams with the highest odds on ESPN BET to win the 2026 Stanley Cup. The Chicago Blackhawks and the San Jose Sharks have the lowest odds, both at 500-1 at the start of the offseason.
