Titans Bolster Defense with Kyzir White

The Tennessee Titans plan to incorporate the experienced linebacker Kyzir White, who arrives after a standout season with the Arizona Cardinals, as confirmed by a team source to Alofoke Deportes. White, who started all 17 games with the Cardinals, shared on social media a report from NFL analyst Jordan Schultz about his arrival in Tennessee. Initially, White will start the season on the practice squad, according to sources. The addition of White provides the Titans with an additional veteran who will compete for a starting position with second-year players like Cedric Gray and James Williams. White, who played his first four seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers, achieved personal bests last season with 2.5 sacks, eight quarterback hits, nine tackles for loss, one interception, three passes defended, and one fumble recovery, the first of his career. In the previous season, White accumulated 137 tackles. Throughout his seven-year career, he has 615 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and six interceptions. White signed with the Cardinals during the 2023 offseason after playing for coach Jonathan Gannon and Cardinals defensive coordinator Nick Rallis in Philadelphia in 2022. His experience with Gannon and Rallis made him a key piece in Gannon’s transition as head coach. The Titans’ defensive coordinator, Dennard Wilson, was the passing game coordinator/defensive backs coach when White played for Philadelphia in 2022. Wilson declined to reveal who would be the starter at the inside linebacker position alongside Cody Barton when asked on Tuesday. Williams took the majority of the first-team reps at the start of camp and started the first preseason game, while Gray received the majority of the reps in the last three weeks of camp and started the last two preseason games.
