Eagles and Cowboys will face off at the start of the 2025 season
The current Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, will host the Dallas Cowboys on September 4 in the opening game of the 2025 NFL regular season.
The matchup, which will be broadcast on NBC, represents the first Week 1 clash between these NFC East rivals since the year 2000.
Back then, the Eagles, coached by Andy Reid, achieved a resounding 41-14 victory at Texas Stadium.
According to research, none of the 19 players selected in last month’s draft by the Eagles or the Cowboys had been born when that previous Week 1 encounter, on September 3, 2000, was played.
The Eagles achieved victories in both games against the Cowboys during the last season.
