Ben Roethlisberger Honored by the Steelers
Latrobe, Pa. – Ben Roethlisberger, the two-time Super Bowl champion quarterback, adds a new recognition to his already impressive career.
The legendary player, who holds or shares at least nine NFL records and 70 franchise records, has been selected to be part of the 2025 class of the Pittsburgh Steelers Hall of Fame. The announcement was made during a luncheon at training camp on Saturday.
It is fitting that Roethlisberger enters the Hall of Fame alongside Maurkice Pouncey, his center for many years. Both players shared eleven seasons on the field. Roethlisberger accumulated 247 starts and won two Super Bowls with the franchise that selected him 11th overall in the 2004 NFL draft.
The third member of the 2025 class is linebacker Joey Porter Sr., who was part of the team that won Super Bowl XL alongside Roethlisberger.
The announcement of Porter’s induction coincided with the birthday of his son, Joey Porter Jr., who was drafted by the Steelers in the second round of the 2023 NFL draft.
The induction ceremony for the three honorees will take place during halftime of the Monday Night Football game between the Steelers and the Miami Dolphins on December 15th.
