Rashee Rice Returns to Action with the Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs star receiver Rashee Rice has completed his six-game suspension and is ready to return to the field. Rice participated in his first practice on Wednesday, marking a significant milestone for the team. Head coach Andy Reid confirmed that Rice will play on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. “He’s excited to be back,” Reid commented. “I think going through the practices this week will be good for him to get going.” He is in good shape. This game is expected to be the first time Rice, along with Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown, the team’s three main receivers, will play together. Even without Worthy, the Chiefs have averaged 31.6 points in the last three games. Rice was sentenced to 30 days in jail and five years of probation in July for his involvement in a car accident. The 25-year-old player pleaded guilty to third-degree felony charges. During his suspension, Rice conducted individual training to stay in shape. In 2023, Rice led the Chiefs’ receivers with 79 receptions, 938 yards, and seven touchdowns. “He’s going to want to be out there on every play,” quarterback Patrick Mahomes said about Rice’s excitement.
