Brock Bowers Returns to Practice, But is Doubtful for the Game Against the Chiefs

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers returned to practice on Friday, although his participation in Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs is doubtful. Bowers and wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (knee/toe) were limited participants after being out on Wednesday and Thursday. Meyers is questionable to play.

Jakobi did more than Brock. He recovered quite well, so we have high hopes that he will be available. Brock had his first workout here in a long time. His workouts have been great during the week. I watched him when he was working with the trainers and he’s really doing well. So, we’re very close with him.

Coach Pete Carroll
Bowers practiced for the first time since October 1st. He has been out the last two weeks to recover from a posterior cruciate ligament injury and a bone bruise in his left knee, suffered in the Raiders’ season-opening victory against the New England Patriots. Bowers tried to play through the injury. However, his production decreased, as he was unable to play at maximum speed and create separation from defenders. He accumulated 14 receptions for 122 yards and 8.7 yards per reception from weeks 2 to 4 before being shut down. Carroll said Meyers was injured on a 16-yard reception in the final quarter of last week’s 20-10 victory over the Tennessee Titans. In six games of 2025, Meyers has accumulated 29 receptions for 329 yards. His numbers have decreased in recent weeks. He has averaged 33.7 yards per game in the last three games, after averaging 76 in the first three weeks.

A lot of this sometimes ends up being a byproduct of the game. I don’t look at it week to week. I look at it over the season. You know, obviously he’s our number one wide receiver. And I know everybody that we face in coverage and the attention that he demands, I think everybody else in the league knows that too.
