Khalil Mack Injured in Game Against the Raiders

Los Angeles Chargers outside linebacker Khalil Mack has been ruled out of Monday night’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders due to an elbow injury sustained in the first quarter. Mack, visibly affected, attempted a tackle in the first quarter when his hand got caught between Chargers linebacker Troy Dye and Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker. This caused his elbow to bend unnaturally. After the play, Mack limped off the field clutching his left hand, stopped on the sideline, and bent over in pain before heading to the locker room. Mack returned to the Chargers’ band in the third quarter with his elbow bandaged and in a sling.

“The boys will step up,” Los Angeles coach Jim Harbaugh told Katie George during the halftime broadcast. “I know it.”

Mack finished the game with a catch and a tackle in the fourth. It should be noted that Mack has achieved 12.5 sacks against Las Vegas, where he played for the first four seasons of his career, all since 2021, the most for any player against a single opponent in that span.
