The New York Jets’ star wide receiver, Garrett Wilson, and the franchise have finalized a four-year, $130 million contract extension. Sources close to the negotiation confirmed the news this Monday.
This agreement, which includes an impressive $90 million guarantee, sets a new milestone in NFL history. Wilson, after only three seasons in the league, becomes the first receiver to surpass $31 million in average salary.
With this extension, Wilson is tied to the Jets until the 2030 season, ensuring his presence on the team for the next six years.
The negotiations were led by agents Jeff Nalley and Graylan Crain, from CAA, who worked together with Jets executives Nick Sabella and Darren Mougey.
