Josh Harris Acquires Jayden Daniels’ Rookie Card for a Record Sum
In the second night of the Fanatics Fest 2025, the event witnessed a notable transaction involving Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels and Commanders managing partner Josh Harris.
Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin led a Trade Night session on Saturday, asking the audience who owned the most expensive Daniels rookie card.
Josh Roth, owner of the Daniels 2024 Panini Prizm Black Finite Prizm 1-of-1 numbered card, initially asked for $2 million for the card.
Roth compared its value to the debut MLB card of Paul Skenes of the Pittsburgh Pirates, which sold for $1.1 million.
Roth finally lowered its price after Reddit founder Alex Ohanian offered a public reward of $250,000 for the card before it was graded. After Beckett Grading Services’ evaluation, the card received a grade of 9.5 out of 10.
With the help of Fanatics Collectibles CEO Michael Mahan, Harris offered and acquired the card for $500,000, setting a new record for a Daniels card, along with a signed jersey.
Harris intends to display the card at Northwest Stadium, the home of the Commanders.
In his rookie season in the NFL, Daniels led Washington to the NFC championship game and was awarded the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year, after throwing for 3,568 yards and 25 touchdowns.
