Paulson Adebo Late Scratch for the Giants
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The New York Giants suffered a blow right before the start of the game. Star cornerback Paulson Adebo felt discomfort in his knee and was ruled out. Adebo was ready to return after missing three games due to a knee injury. Initially, he was not listed among the inactive players before the game. However, the decision was made after Adebo jumped onto the field in uniform an hour before the match. This left the Giants with Cor’Dale Flott, Deonte Banks, Korie Black, Jarrick Bernard-Convers, and Rico Payton as their available cornerbacks. New York has struggled since Adebo retired in the second half of a recent collapse against the Denver Broncos last month. Currently, the team is on a four-game losing streak. The Giants were hoping to have Adebo this week. The Giants signed Adebo to a lucrative free agent contract this offseason. He received a three-year, $54 million deal. Adebo, 26, started in the first seven games of the season for New York. He has 48 tackles and four passes defended this season.“Oh man, it means having a great player on the defensive line with a lot of confidence,” said interim coach Mike Kafka. “I’m excited to see him play. He’s a player I’ve been talking to a lot this week and I think he’s in the right state of mind.”
