You always have a plan for a player like that, but I don’t think you go in, ‘Oh, we’re going to scrap this.’ It was designed the way it was designed, so I don’t know if it really changed anything.

The Cowboys have great respect for Carter. Coach Brian Schottenheimer commented on the player’s impact.

A big difference. He’s a really good player and he’s included with some really good players. Jordan Davis is obviously an incredible player too. Jaelan Phillips, I mean, the defense… this is a hell of a defense. I think they’re the best in the league. It’s going to be very difficult, but we love that challenge and we also think we’re pretty good.
