Stefon Diggs Reports to Patriots Voluntary Activities
New England Patriots receiver Stefon Diggs showed up at the team’s voluntary organized activities on Monday, after being absent the previous week. This comes after a viral video on a boat that led head coach Mike Vrabel to emphasize the importance of making good decisions.
Diggs arrived on the field for Monday’s practice and greeted reporters, saying: “It’s good to see you all.”
Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels was among those who celebrated Diggs’ presence, who, according to his teammates, hasn’t been around the team much this spring since he signed a three-year, $69 million contract.
It’s a voluntary part of the year, we know that. I don’t know if we’ve ever had perfect attendance in these things in general. As a coach, selfishly, you love it when everybody’s here because you feel like you’ve got everybody in the classroom and on the field and everything else. He’s here today and we’re excited to have the opportunity to work with the guys that are here and available to us.

Diggs was the first receiver to participate in the drills and looked quick and decisive changing direction and opening up in a sprint. He also caught passes from quarterback Drake Maye, running a variety of routes, in a lower-speed drill in which there was no defense.
Once the Patriots advanced to more full-team drills, Diggs was a spectator, as he is still recovering from a torn ACL suffered in Week 8 of last season with the Houston Texans.Wide receivers coach Todd Downing also highlighted Diggs’ return, adding that he has been working hard to learn the team’s system.
