Davante Adams Feels “Rejuvenated” in Los Angeles
The wide receiver Davante Adams, after spending only one offseason in Los Angeles, has expressed feeling “rejuvenated” compared to his last seasons in the NFL. Adams, who was traded from the Raiders to the Jets last season, stated that signing with the Rams was “exactly what he needed.” The player signed a two-year contract with the Rams after being released by the Jets in March.Adams compared the atmosphere at the Rams’ facilities to a “college-like camaraderie”, highlighting the interaction he has noticed between the different groups of players. He mentioned that it took him less time to integrate into the Rams team than the Jets, although he pointed out that this was partly due to the fact that he was traded during the season. When asked what allowed him to feel rejuvenated in his experience with the Rams, Adams replied: “It’s just about the game. Without other things.” “And they have a very good quarterback here,” Adams continued. “A very good young team that shows a lot of promise and that obviously came very close to having the opportunity to win it all last year. So knowing how hungry this team is and seeing the work they continue to put in after having a good year, just confirms that I’m in the right place.” In 11 games with the Jets last season, Adams had 67 receptions, 854 yards, and 7 touchdowns. Including his three games in Las Vegas, Adams surpassed 1,000 yards for the fifth consecutive season. Adams joins a revamped group of Rams receivers. At the beginning of this offseason, Adams revealed that he was heavily recruited by McVay, including the sending of highlight videos narrated by the head coach. Adams said he has enjoyed getting to know McVay and seeing his process at training camp.I feel like this is what I needed, based on the environment and the aura of the building. Everyone is in a good mood. There’s not a dark cloud over the building. And I’ve experienced that quite a bit in the last few years. So it’s a clear difference when you walk into a building like this.

…and now, knowing him, it simply backs him up in terms of football and as a person. So when your leader is like that, it makes it easier to come to work, it just makes everything much more fun.You can see why he has had so much success and why everyone looks at him and trusts him the way they do in this building. And before I could meet many of these guys, I had heard some of the feelings and opinions of different players about him and I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much uniformity towards any person in the past.
