Kyler Murray in Doubt for Game against the Colts

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is questionable for the Week 6 game against the Indianapolis Colts due to a foot injury sustained in Sunday’s loss to the Tennessee Titans. Coach Jonathan Gannon reported that Murray will not practice on Wednesday and his status will be evaluated day-to-day for the rest of the week.

If he’s healthy enough to play, he’ll play.

Murray left the game at the end of the third quarter against Tennessee, but returned after missing two plays. So far this season, Murray has thrown for 962 yards, completing 110 of 161 passes, with six touchdowns and three interceptions. He has also rushed 29 times for 173 yards and a touchdown.

In the event that Murray is unable to play on Sunday, Jacoby Brissett, who was signed by the Cardinals during the offseason, would be the starter.

Gannon described Brissett as a “true professional” on Wednesday.

I know that term gets thrown around a lot, but when you’re in his position, all of our guys, but the quarterback position is the hardest in sports, and to know you’re one play away from your role changing, you really have to be locked in on the details as if you’re the starter and he’s got a smile on his face. He loves to practice, he loves to prepare, he loves to play.
