Jonah Williams Out for the Season Due to Injury
The Arizona Cardinals’ right tackle, Jonah Williams, has been placed on the injured reserve list and will not participate further in the current season. The announcement was made on Friday, confirming that Williams will need shoulder surgery, an injury suffered during the Week 10 loss against the Seattle Seahawks.Injuries have affected Williams’ career in Arizona. By the end of the 2025-26 season, Williams will have been absent for 19 of 34 games in two seasons due to injuries. Of those absences, 18 were while he was on the injured reserve list. In the previous season, he suffered a right knee injury in Week 1, which prevented him from playing for the next nine weeks. In addition, in Week 16, he suffered another knee injury that led him to the reserve list for the last two games of the 2024-25 season. This year, he had been in good form until the injury suffered against Seattle, starting in the first nine games. Williams signed a two-year contract with Arizona in March 2024 for $30 million, with $19 million guaranteed.He’s a starter, a good player. He just wasn’t going to be able to play the rest of the year.
