Tom Brady sent a message to Shedeur Sanders after his selection in the NFL Draft, encouraging him to use his position as motivation.
The now Cleveland Browns quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, fell in the draft, which led Brady to send him a message of support.
“I texted Shedeur because I know him very well. I told him, ‘Buddy, whatever happens, wherever you go, that’s your first day. Day 2 matters more than the draft. I was 199. So, who can talk about that better than me? Use this as motivation, you’ll have your opportunities, take advantage of them.”

Brady, who has mentored Sanders, was selected in the sixth round of the 2000 draft and won seven Super Bowls.
Brady emphasized the importance of performance on the field.
“Wherever you end up going… it’s about your performance. What do you do when you get there? Because you’re going to get there.”

There was speculation about the possibility of the Las Vegas Raiders selecting Sanders, but they ultimately chose other quarterbacks.
Brady clarified that he did not participate in Sanders’ evaluation process.
Sanders will wear number 12, the same as Brady during his career, in his Browns debut.
Sanders joins four other quarterbacks on the Browns’ roster.
