The Buffalo Bills Will Star in HBO’s “Hard Knocks”
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced that the Buffalo Bills will be the protagonists of HBO’s “Hard Knocks” this summer, during their training camp. The series will premiere on August 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO Max. This is the first time the Bills have been selected for the series.
Goodell also revealed that the NFC East will be the focus of the “Hard Knocks” series during the season, featuring the four teams in the division. This season series will debut in December.
The Bills were eligible to be selected thanks to a new set of rules introduced this offseason, which expanded the pool of teams. The rule that allowed teams that reached the playoffs in the last two years to opt out no longer exists, which would have applied to the Bills, who have reached the playoffs in each of the last six seasons.
Teams that are not eligible to be selected for “Hard Knocks: Training Camp” include those with first-year head coaches, those that have appeared on the training camp version of the program in the past eight seasons, and teams that are part of the division selected for the season or the next season’s division.
The first part of the team’s training camp will be held at St. John Fisher University in Pittsford, New York. The Bills’ 2025 campaign currently sees them favored in every game, and with quarterback Josh Allen coming off his first MVP season.
The team acquired free agents Joey Bosa and Joshua Palmer this offseason, while coach Sean McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane prepare for their ninth season together.
This season marks the Bills’ final year in their current stadium, with a new one, set to open in 2026, currently under construction across the street.
The episodes will air on Tuesdays until September 2.
