Bengals Bolster Offense with Addition of Noah Fant
The Cincinnati Bengals have added an experienced player to strengthen their offense. Tight end Noah Fant, a first-round pick in the 2019 draft, has signed a one-year contract with the team.
Fant, throughout his six seasons in the NFL, has started in 83 of his 95 appearances. In his last year with the Seattle Seahawks, he achieved 48 receptions, accumulating 500 yards and one touchdown.
Previously, Fant played his first three career years with the Denver Broncos. In 2022, he was traded to the Seahawks, where he participated in 42 games as a starter.
The University of Iowa graduate has been exploring his options since he was released by the Seahawks in July. During this process, he visited the Bengals, Miami Dolphins, and New Orleans Saints, before deciding on Cincinnati on Thursday.
With this addition, Fant joins an already established group of tight ends, which includes Mike Gesicki and Drew Sample, who are considered the main options. Gesicki stands out as the primary tight end in pass reception, while Sample is valued for his contribution to the running game.
This offseason, Gesicki signed a three-year contract with the Bengals worth $25.5 million.
