Bengals Release Zack Moss
The Cincinnati Bengals have made the decision to release running back Zack Moss, according to the team announced this Wednesday.
Moss, 27, began training camp on the non-football injury list after suffering a neck injury that ended his previous season.
In 2024, Moss signed a two-year contract with the Bengals, valued at $8 million. After last season, Moss and Cincinnati agreed to a contract restructuring for $1.7 million for 2025. Wednesday’s release will cost the Bengals $1.88 million in dead money against the salary cap and will give Cincinnati a savings of $1.2 million in the salary cap.
In eight games last season, Moss ran for 242 yards and scored two touchdowns, sharing responsibilities with Chase Brown.
During this offseason, Cincinnati signed running back Samaje Perine and drafted former Texas Tech running back Tahj Brooks in the sixth round.
