Amari Cooper Returns to the Raiders: A Boost for the Offense
The wide receiver Amari Cooper, now a free agent, has reached an agreement for a one-year contract with the Raiders organization. The news has generated great anticipation among fans and sports analysts. Cooper, 30 years old, arrives at the Raiders after a series of moves that marked his career in the NFL. In 2018, he was traded by the Raiders to the Dallas Cowboys, who in turn sent him to the Cleveland Browns in 2022. Recently, the Buffalo Bills acquired him last October. During the regular season, the 10-year veteran participated in eight games, to which three more matches were added in the postseason with the Bills. In the midst of this stage, he faced a left wrist injury suffered in his second game with the team. The Bills gave up a 2025 third-round pick as part of the deal for Cooper. Although his presence on the field was a contribution to the offense, he managed to catch 20 of 32 passes in the regular season, accumulating 297 yards and two touchdowns. In the postseason, his numbers were six receptions without touchdowns. Cooper is coming off a season with the lowest production of his career. Selected in the fourth overall position in 2015 by the Raiders, he has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards on seven occasions, including a personal record of 1,250 yards in 2023.Throughout his 10 seasons in the NFL, Cooper has recorded 711 receptions, 10,033 yards, and 64 touchdowns.
