Jalen Suggs Returns for Magic’s Inaugural Game

Orlando Magic point guard Jalen Suggs is set to return to action this Wednesday in the season opener against the Miami Heat. Suggs’ return represents a significant boost for the Magic in their first home game. The team’s starting point guard underwent arthroscopic surgery in March to remove a cartilage fragment in his left knee. Suggs, who was limited to only 35 games last season due to injuries, participated in the team’s shooting practice and felt good afterwards.

I can’t express how good it feels to have him back on the court. Not just for us, but for him. His skill, what he brings to this team, his energy, the journey he’s taken to get back on the court, that’s what we’re most proud of him for.

Suggs averaged 16.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.5 steals last season.

Obviously, what he does for us on the court is at another level. We need that. We’re going to be smart about how we do it, but just having him back on the court means a lot to us right now.
