Paul George will miss the start of the season with the 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers star, Paul George, will not be present at the season opener, according to sources close to the team. The player is in the process of recovering from knee surgery performed during the summer. Although George has shown significant progress in his recovery, he still needs to meet certain requirements before being able to return to action in a regular season game. His debut is expected to occur in the first few weeks of the season. The nine-time NBA All-Star underwent an arthroscopic procedure on his left knee in July, after suffering an injury during a workout. A reevaluation was expected in September. George signed a maximum four-year, $212 million contract with Philadelphia in the summer of 2024. Last season, he only participated in 41 games. During the previous season, George faced several physical problems, including injections in the left adductor and left knee, which led him to end his participation in March. In the last season, the 6-foot-8-inch forward averaged 16.2 points per game, his lowest figure since the 2014-15 season, in which he only played six games. Since the 2018-19 season, George has only played more than 56 games in a season.
