Doug McDermott Returns to Sacramento with a Guaranteed Contract
Free agent Doug McDermott has agreed to a guaranteed one-year, $3.6 million contract to return to the Sacramento Kings.
This was reported by Priority Sports representatives Mark Bartelstein and Andy Shiffman.
McDermott, who is about to start his twelfth season in the NBA, will play his fourth stint with the Kings.
Previously, he was with the team from 2021 to 2024, before being traded to the Indiana Pacers mid-season 2023-24.
Last season, he returned to the Kings on a one-year contract and demonstrated his shooting ability, with almost 44% effectiveness in three-point shots in 42 games.
McDermott is known for being an elite shooter, with a career average of 41.1% on long-distance shots, with more than three attempts per game.
Throughout his NBA career, he has played for seven different teams.
