Jaden McDaniels misses game with wrist sprain
Minnesota Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels was ruled out of Wednesday’s game against Washington due to a sprain in his left wrist. This absence marks the first in almost two years for the player.
McDaniels played a season-low 23 minutes in Minnesota’s victory over Dallas on Monday, definitively exiting in the third quarter with the Timberwolves leading by 27 points.
The last time McDaniels missed a game was December 8, 2023, the last of eight straight games he missed due to a sprained right ankle. After that, he played in 188 straight games, including 31 playoff games in the last two years.
McDaniels, considered Minnesota’s best perimeter defender, averages 17.5 points per game and leads the NBA in 3-point shooting (52.1%), both marks are the best of his career. His field goal percentage (55.3%) and free throw percentage (84.2%) are also the highest of his six seasons in the league.
