New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby, who suffered a left hamstring strain on Friday, will be re-evaluated in two weeks, according to sources who informed Alofoke Deportes on Sunday.
Anunoby will not travel with the Knicks on their upcoming five-game road trip.
The player left Friday’s game against the Miami Heat, which ended in a 140-132 victory for the Knicks, at 6:52 of the first quarter and was ruled out shortly after.
Anunoby, 28 years old, averages 15.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Last season, he played 74 games, matching his personal record and marking the second time he has exceeded 70 games in a season.
The Knicks’ point guard, Jalen Brunson, suffered a Grade 1 ankle sprain last week and his status is day-to-day. He also didn’t play against the Heat on Friday night.
