Jaylen Brown’s Father, Celtics Star, Charged with Attempted Murder

Quenton M. Brown, father of Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown, was arrested and charged with attempted murder following a stabbing that occurred Wednesday night in Las Vegas, according to multiple reports.

Quenton Brown, 57, was arrested Thursday morning and booked into the Clark County Detention Center. He made his first court appearance Thursday afternoon and is scheduled for Tuesday. Bail was set at $300,000.

Las Vegas police reported that the stabbing occurred after an argument between two people in a parking lot. Brown allegedly hit the victim’s car when exiting his SUV, which led to the dispute. According to the police report, Brown allegedly stabbed the victim several times after the victim turned his back.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and is recovering from surgery, according to authorities.

The lawyer for Brown stated that his client was attacked first and that the stabbing was in self-defense.

Jaylen Brown, four-time All-Star and 2024 Finals MVP, has played for the Celtics since he was drafted in 2016.
