Jaylen Brown’s Father, Celtics Star, Arrested for Attempted Murder

Quenton M. Brown, father of Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown, was arrested Thursday morning in Las Vegas, charged with attempted murder in connection with a stabbing that occurred Wednesday night, according to multiple reports. Brown, 57, was booked into the Clark County Detention Center and appeared in court on Thursday afternoon. He is scheduled to return on Tuesday, with bail set at $300,000. Las Vegas police reported that the stabbing occurred after an argument between two people in a parking lot. Brown allegedly hit the victim’s car when exiting his SUV, which triggered the altercation. According to the police report, Brown stabbed the victim several times after the victim turned his back. The victim was taken to a local hospital and is recovering from surgery, according to authorities.

Brown’s lawyer stated that his client was attacked first and that the stabbing was in self-defense.

Jaylen Brown, four-time All-Star and 2024 Finals MVP, has played for the Celtics since he was drafted in 2016.
