The Milwaukee Bucks star, Giannis Antetokounmpo, has revealed his plans for the end of his basketball career. The two-time NBA MVP expressed his desire to play for a Greek team after his retirement from the American league. Antetokounmpo, who is preparing for his thirteenth season with the Bucks, reflected on his options after a summer of important decisions. The player is under contract for the next two seasons, opening up the possibility of becoming a free agent in the summer of 2027.The player, originally from Athens, Greece, began his professional career with Filathlitikos. He played two seasons with the Greek B league team before being selected in the 2013 NBA draft. Antetokounmpo is considering the possibility of playing for several Greek teams, including Filathlitikos, Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, and Aris.“I am 30 years old, I can play in the NBA until I’m 36-38. I would like to finish my career in a Greek team, why not? I don’t want to live in the United States. As soon as I leave the NBA, I want to return to Greece,” Antetokounmpo declared.
