The Milwaukee Bucks are reinforced with the addition of Alex Antetokounmpo, who will sign a dual contract with the team. The news was confirmed by Alex Saratsis, general manager of Octagon.
Alex, the youngest of the Antetokounmpo brothers, joins Giannis and Thanasis, who are already part of the Bucks’ roster. This marks a milestone in NBA history, being the first time that three brothers share a team with active contracts.
Alex Antetokounmpo has been playing in Europe since 2024, after his time in the G League, where he was not selected in the 2021 draft. During the 2021-22 season, he played for the Raptors 905 G League team and was also part of the Milwaukee G League team from 2022 to 2024.
To make room on the roster, the Bucks waived guard Jamaree Bouyea’s two-way contract.
In the summer of 2025, Giannis led the Greek national team to the bronze medal in the EuroBasket tournament, an achievement that the two-time MVP called his greatest sporting success. His brothers Thanasis and Kostas also participated in that team.
