AUSTIN, Texas – Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker had limited participation in his team’s 121-94 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday. Booker was on the court for almost 9 minutes before being ruled out in the first half due to right hip discomfort. Suns coach Jordan Ott did not provide an update on Booker’s health after the game.
Booker left the game with 5:24 remaining in the first quarter, with Phoenix trailing 19-16, and did not return until 4:46 remained before halftime. He played only 71 more seconds before leaving the game again with 2:35 remaining in the first half, heading to the locker room. The five-time All-Star did not return.He tried to play again. We had to save him from himself. He wasn’t moving well when he returned.

Before this injury, Booker missed seven consecutive games from January 25 to February 5 due to a right ankle sprain suffered on January 23 against the Atlanta Hawks. Booker returned to play two games against Philadelphia and Dallas before the Suns sidelined him on February 11 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, to manage the right ankle injury. Booker, an 11-year veteran, leads the Suns in scoring, averaging 25.2 points per game with 45.5% field goal efficiency, 4.0 rebounds, and 6.3 assists. The Suns host the Orlando Magic on Saturday at the Mortgage Matchup Center.He felt good enough to go back in. And the first few times, I didn’t notice anything. And then, I definitely noticed something at the end of that second stint.
