Basketball player Santi Aldama has reached an agreement with the Memphis Grizzlies to extend his contract for three years and $52.5 million, according to sources close to the negotiation. The deal was finalized on Monday night by Austin Brown, Steven Heumann, and Max Sadiman of CAA, representatives of Aldama, who had an outstanding season last year. Aldama, 24 years old, experienced his best season in his fourth year in the league, setting new personal records.

With a height of 6 feet 11 inches, Aldama possesses a unique combination of shooting and playmaking skills for a player in his position. In addition, he averaged 12.6 points coming off the bench, ranking sixth among reserve players with at least 40 games played. In the 2024-25 season, Aldama achieved eight games with 20 or more points, matching his total in his first three combined seasons. Aldama ranked fifth in total assists for the team. Selected at the 30th pick of the 2021 draft, Aldama established himself in Memphis’ rotation in his second season and has since been a key element for the team.
