Kelly Oubre Jr. Out Due to Injury for the 76ers

Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. will be out for at least two weeks after being diagnosed with a left knee ligament injury, the team announced before Wednesday night’s game against Toronto. The injury will be reevaluated in two weeks. Oubre Jr. had to leave last Friday’s game in Detroit due to a hyperextension of his left knee. An MRI revealed a sprain of the lateral collateral ligament (LCL). Oubre, 29, had been a starter in the first 12 games of the season, averaging 16.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 34.8 minutes. The veteran, who is in his eleventh season in the NBA, is in his third year with Philadelphia. Previously, he played for Washington, Phoenix, Golden State and Charlotte. The 76ers played Wednesday night without Joel Embiid and Paul George, both dealing with knee issues. George played for the first time this season on Monday. Embiid has missed the last four games.
