Haiti and Iran: Qualified for the 2026 World Cup, but with challenges for their fans

The 2026 United States World Cup already has 42 qualified teams, including Haiti and Iran. Although their teams will be able to enter the country, fans from both nations could face difficulties attending the matches.

The current immigration decree in the United States imposes restrictions on citizens of certain countries. Although athletes, coaches, and support staff traveling for the World Cup are exempt, the situation for fans is different.

Many fans from Haiti and Iran could have problems traveling to the United States and supporting their teams.

The 2026 World Cup, which will be played in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, will mark a milestone with the participation of 48 teams. The tournament will take place from June 11 to July 19.

The group stage draw is scheduled for December 5 in Washington DC.
