Wander Franco Denies His Former Lawyer’s Allegations About the Supposed Theft

The stellar Major League player, Wander Franco, has responded to the statements of his former lawyer, Teodocio Jáquez, who claimed that the money allegedly missing from the hotel room in Sosúa, Puerto Plata, had been recovered. Through a video posted on his social media on Saturday, Franco categorically denied Jáquez’s version, calling it “completely false”.

“I am going to make this video and have this statement fixed: that statement that Jáquez is saying, he is my ex-lawyer, is absolutely false. They have not been able to communicate with me, they have not returned my money, all that is false,” expressed the player.

The former lawyer had previously assured that the money was found in the same room, attributing the situation to confusion and ruling out robbery. However, Franco insists that the million Dominican pesos that were missing from the two million he left in his room before training were not returned to him. Upon returning, he only found half of the money, as the player recounted in a live broadcast. The baseball player expressed his indignation and reiterated his demand for a formal investigation into what happened, in addition to calling attention to the security in the hotels in the northern zone of the country. Franco, one of the most promising Dominican figures in Major League Baseball, emphasized that he will continue to seek clear answers about this incident.
