Vitelio Mejía re-elected president of LIDOM: Unanimity in the voting

Santo Domingo. The Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) has re-elected Vitelio Mejía Ortiz as president for a new term. The decision was made unanimously during the General Assembly of Associates, where the six franchises that make up the winter circuit participated: Tigres del Licey, Leones del Escogido, Águilas Cibaeñas, Estrellas Orientales, Toros del Este and Gigantes del Cibao. The associates expressed their satisfaction with the management of Mejía Ortiz and the work carried out by his team in the league office, as well as by the members of the Board of Directors, who were also ratified in their positions.

During the assembly, the Discipline and Ethics, and Appeals commissions were also established.

Prior to his re-election, Mejía Ortiz presented a report detailing the achievements of his previous management in key areas such as operations, technical, marketing, media, and business development.

Upon being sworn in for his fifth term, Mejía Ortiz thanked the trust placed in him by the teams and reiterated his commitment to the institutional strengthening of LIDOM and the growth of Dominican professional baseball.
