Víctor Peña Will Lead Club San Carlos in the TBS District 2025
Santo Domingo – Renowned Santiago-based coach Víctor Peña will take the reins of Club San Carlos for the 2025 edition of the Superior Basketball Tournament of the National District (TBS Distrito), organized by ABADINA. The tournament is scheduled to begin on September 20. The agreement with the historic “Las 5 Esquinas” franchise was recently finalized, and Peña will immediately take over the direction of the green and yellow team’s training sessions. Peña, recognized as National Leader of the Year 2024 by the Dominican Basketball Federation, is one of the most successful coaches in the country. His career includes multiple awards and championships in various superior basketball tournaments.The San Carlos team has confirmed the addition of Jaison Valdez and Sterling Manley as reinforcements for the season. In addition, they will have a solid core of native players led by Juan Guerrero, Anyeuri Castillo, and Eddy Polanco. Adding to this talent is the youth of Josué Salazar, Kevin Pérez, Kevin Mateo, Enmanuel Labata and Patricio Morillo, along with the experience of veteran Manuel Guzmán, who returns once more to the team. In the coming days, the San Carlos directive will announce to the coaching staff who will accompany Peña on the bench. The team’s training sessions are already taking place at the facilities of Club San Carlos, located in the heart of the capital.I feel very honored and grateful to join a club with the tradition and prestige of San Carlos.
