WASHINGTON – Former U.S. President Donald Trump was awarded the first FIFA Peace Prize. This recognition, created by FIFA, celebrates the “extraordinary actions” of the former president in mediation processes in conflict zones. The award ceremony took place during the pre-draw event for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, held at the Kennedy Center in Washington. The United States, along with Mexico and Canada, will host the tournament. After receiving the award, Trump highlighted the role of his administration in recent peace agreements and stated that the world is a safer place.Trump also highlighted his collaboration with the Prime Minister of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, and the Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney, in organizing the 2026 World Cup.
