Toros del Este Announce Coaching Staff for the 2025-26 Season
La Romana – Los Toros del Este have presented their renewed team of coaches who will accompany manager Víctor Estévez in the upcoming 2025-26 season, which will begin on October 15.
The Romanense team will have the incorporation of Brayan Peña as bench coach. Peña, with extensive experience as a player and coach in the Dominican league, played seven seasons in the league, including a notable stint with the Toros in the Round Robin of the 2005-06 season. In addition, he has worked as a coach with the Gigantes del Cibao and was promoted in 2024 to the big team as a catchers coordinator and bullpen coach.
Jordan Norberto will assume the role of pitching coach, repeating functions after his time with the Gigantes del Cibao. Raywilly Gómez, after several seasons with the Licey, will be the batting coach for the Toros, a position he currently holds with the Tri-City Dust Devil.
Daniel De Mondesert, currently in the Major Leagues with the Milwaukee Brewers, will be the assistant to manager Estévez. Cristopher Madera and Juan Ciriaco will be the third and first base coaches, respectively. Madera, with experience in the Escogido, will also be the outfield coach. Ciriaco, former player for the Toros, works in the minor leagues of the San Francisco Giants.
Gabriel Hernández will debut as a pitching strategist coach, while Danilo Sánchez will be a catching instructor. José R. Díaz, known in La Romana, will be a bullpen coach after a successful career in LIDOM.
Rafael Rijo and Julián Yan, who will be the assistant batting coach, also repeat as coaches.
