Stanton hit two home runs and accumulated five RBIs, while Judge added his 52nd home run of the season, contributing to the Yankees’ 8-4 victory over the Orioles. This was the team’s sixth consecutive win. The Yankees’ bullpen managed to contain the Orioles in critical moments, with Tim Hill getting out of a jam with the bases loaded in the sixth inning. Austin Wells drove in a run with a single, and Stanton added his fifth RBI with a groundout in the seventh. With this victory, the Yankees remain tied with the Toronto Blue Jays at the top of the division, with only two games left in the season. The Blue Jays beat the Rays, and hold the advantage in case of a tiebreaker. The Yankees also set a new Major League record, with their 48th home run in the first inning this season, surpassing the 2023 Braves’ mark (47). With Judge in the fight for the American League MVP award and Stanton on fire, the Yankees show they are ready to compete in October.
