Spain Starts Preparations for International Friendlies
Las Rozas, Madrid – The Spanish National Football Team began its preparation for the upcoming friendly matches against Serbia and Egypt, with a training session led by coach Luis de la Fuente at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas.
The practice took place with some notable absences. Lamine Yamal, Marcos Llorente, and Aymeric Laporte did physical work separate from the group due to physical discomfort and accumulated fatigue, according to sources from the coaching staff.
The session featured the incorporation of new faces. Joan García, Víctor Muñoz, Cristhian Mosquera, and Ander Barrenetxea joined the group, experiencing their first session with the senior team, in what is the last call-up before the 2026 World Cup.
The rest of the team completed the session in a relaxed atmosphere, after several months without gatherings. The training included physical exercises and ball work, ending with tactical aspects behind closed doors.
Spain will face Serbia on Friday, March 27th, and Egypt on Tuesday, the 31st, in crucial friendly matches for their international preparation. The team will continue training in Las Rozas until Thursday, the day they will travel to Castellón to continue with their planning.
