Jannik Sinner Conquers China Open with Absolute Dominance

Beijing – Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner, currently number two in the world, won the China Open. His victory was achieved after a resounding final match against American Learner Tien (No. 52 ATP), with a score of 6-2 and 6-2.

This Wednesday, the Diamond central court in Beijing witnessed Sinner’s performance, who demonstrated his superiority from the start of the match.

With this triumph, Sinner, 24, adds his twenty-first ATP title. In addition, it is the third he has obtained in the 2025 season, after his victories at the Australian Open and Wimbledon. With this feat, he equals Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, who also have multiple crowns in the Chinese capital.

The match was quickly decided. Tien, 19 years old, started with a double fault that facilitated the initial break for Sinner. The Italian, showing firmness in his serve (10 aces), maintained control of the game and closed both sets with the same score.

The statistics clearly favored Sinner, who won 70% of the points, did not concede his serve and converted four of the six break opportunities he had. For his part, Tien accumulated six double faults and could not take advantage of the two break opportunities he had.

Despite being the first ATP final for the young American, who surprised Daniil Medvedev and Lorenzo Musetti in previous rounds, experience was not enough to stop a Sinner in excellent form.

This title represents Sinner’s second crown in Beijing (2023 and 2025), solidifying him as the third player with the most victories in the tournament. It also extends his streak to nine consecutive finals on hard court, with an impressive 23-2 record on this surface during 2025.

The Italian, who is now heading to Shanghai for the Masters 1000, is emerging as one of the favorites for the ATP Finals in Turin, closing a year in which he has confirmed his position as one of the most outstanding tennis players on the circuit.
