Savica Leads the Table in the Superior Altagraciano Basketball Tournament
HIGÜEY, LA ALTAGRACIA – Savica club took first place in the basketball tournament, after defeating the Antonio Guzmán team with a score of 99-96. The match took place in the Leo Tavárez sports center.
After a difficult start, with three consecutive defeats, Savica has achieved a streak of five consecutive victories, which has allowed them to rise to the top with a 5-3 record. This victory displaced Centro, which now occupies second place (5-2), and Antonio Guzmán, who is in third place (4-4).
Darwin Rosario, reinforcement from Moca, Espaillat, led Savica’s attack with 25 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. Roderick Guzmán contributed 21 points, Ambiorix Moisés achieved a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Dayker Cedano added 15 points and eight rebounds.
From the Antonio Guzmán team, the debuting reinforcement Oliver García, from Santiago, stood out with 30 points and five assists. José Castillo scored 20 points, Ariel De León achieved double figures with 13 points and 11 rebounds, Ronny Bort contributed 12 points and 16 rebounds, and Jeremy Sarmiento scored 11 points.San Francisco also gets the victory
In another exciting match, the San Francisco club defeated the Centro team with a score of 82-72. Jeff Allen, a North American reinforcement, was key with 26 points and 14 rebounds, while Yorky Mota contributed 25 points.
Mota also added six rebounds and five assists. Oscar Montero contributed 13 points and Richard Mercedes with 10.
By the Center, Albert Fernández scored 18 points, four rebounds and seven assists. Kerry Richardson, American reinforcement, contributed 17 points and six rebounds, and Félix Cedeño scored eight.
The tournament is organized by the Basketball Association of La Altagracia Province (ABAPA), under the presidency of deputy Jorge Tavárez, and is dedicated to Monsignor Jesús Castro Marte, Bishop of the Diocese of Our Lady of La Altagracia.Upcoming matches
