RD vs. Detroit: Giants Duel in Santo Domingo as a Prelude to the World Baseball Classic
The Dominican Republic National Team is preparing for the 2026 World Baseball Classic with a series of two exciting games against the Detroit Tigers. These matches will take place on March 3rd and 4th, 2026, at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium in Santo Domingo. This high-caliber sporting event will serve as a crucial part of the Dominican national team’s training schedule before their participation in the prestigious world tournament.A Tribute with a Cause
The series of matches has a special meaning, as it will be held in memory of the victims of the April 8, 2025 tragedy in Santo Domingo. In addition, the event has a charitable purpose, with the aim of raising funds for the Dominican Red Cross.
