PUNTA CANA – The Dominican duos secured their spot in the quarterfinals at the ninth edition of the Punta Cana Norceca Beach Volleyball Classic, this Saturday. The competition, which brings together athletes from more than twelve countries, continues its exciting development.

Dominican Women Shine in the Arena

In the women’s branch, Azmabeth Infante and Julibeth Payano demonstrated their skill by defeating the Nicaraguans Socorro López and Norma Brenes in two sets (24-22, 21-17). This triumph guarantees them a place in the next phase and keeps them in the fight for a medal in the tournament.

Dominican Male Domain

For their part, male representatives Melvin De Jesús and Ramón De Jesús also advanced, surpassing Guatemalans José Izaguirrre and Santiago Penagos with a score of two sets to zero (23-21, 21-13). The Saturday day took place on Los Corales beach, offering a high-level sporting spectacle.

The Dominican Volleyball Federation (Fedovoli) supports this tournament, organized by the Dominican Foundation for Sports Tourism and Marketing Sport Event. In addition, it has the support of the Norceca confederation, the Verón City Hall and ASOLESTE, among others.
