PUCMM Successfully Starts in the University Baseball League

Santo Domingo – The Pontifical Catholic University Santo Domingo (PUCMM) had a smashing start in the fourth edition of the University Baseball League, organized by the Directorate of the National Baseball Commissioner (DCNB), in the competition for the BanReservas Cup. The PUCMM team demonstrated its power by winning its first two games of the day. In their first encounter, PUCMM defeated ITLA with a score of 10 runs to 3. Subsequently, they continued their winning streak by defeating UASD with a score of 4 runs to 3. Luis Hernández won the first game for PUCMM, while Bernie Orozco won the second. The losing pitchers were Hansel Reynoso and Anderson Martínez. The most outstanding players for PUCMM were Albert Martínez, who connected two doubles; Daniel Morel, with a triple and a single; and Wilbert Pérez, with a double and a hit. For ITLA, Omar Hiraldo stood out with a home run and a hit. Edixon Alcántara excelled for UASD with a double and a single.

In other exciting games of the day, UCE defeated UTESA with a score of 9-6. Fausto Santana took the victory, while Joryi Montero was the losing pitcher. Rider Rincón was the most outstanding for the winners with a double, and José Ramón connected two singles for UTESA. UCATEBA defeated UNAPEC with a score of 10-5, with Cristopher Medina as the winning pitcher and Elián Barrera as the losing pitcher. O&M defeated ITLA with a score of 4-3, with Ariel Suero as the victorious pitcher and Luis Delgado suffering the loss. Finally, UNISA dominated UCE with a 12-2 victory, with Erick Amparo obtaining the win and Samir Ramírez the loss. Andy Peña was the outstanding figure with a double and three singles, while Edyson Ferreiras and Miguel Ángel Jiménez each connected two hits.
