New York. The Indiana Pacers surprised on Tuesday by defeating the New York Knicks 137-134 in overtime at Madison Square Garden. This victory broke a four-game losing streak for the Pacers in the NBA. The Pacers, despite their position in the Eastern Conference and their away record, managed to overcome the Knicks, who suffered their seventh home defeat this season. The game was decided in overtime, where the Pacers scored the first nine points. The match was close to being decided in regulation time, with Karl-Anthony Towns tying the score for the Knicks with free throws. Pascal Siakam of the Pacers led the game with 30 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals. “It’s always beautiful to play here. We fought at all times and in overtime we were at a great level,” said Siakam after the game. For the first time this season, the Pacers scored at least 30 points in each quarter and set their best mark with 18 three-pointers. Nine players, including the five starters, finished with double digits in scoring. In the New York team, Jalen Brunson stood out with 40 points, while Towns contributed 22 points and 14 rebounds before fouling out. With this loss, the Knicks fall to third place in the East.
